Players strategically battle each other with Pokémon cards, defeating opponents' Pokémon and claiming victory.
Each player has 60 cards, which include Pokémon cards, Trainer cards, and Energy cards. The player draws 7 cards from the 60 cards to start.
Players power up their cards, gain energy, and attack their opponent. If a player's Pokémon's HP drops to 0, it is "knocked out" and the attacker takes a prize card.
