UNO is a strategic game where the goal is to get rid of all the cards in your hand as quickly as possible.

Players are dealt 7 cards each, and the rest remain in the deck.
Initially, one card is turned over from the deck, starting the game. Players must play a card from their hand that matches the last played card by color, number, or symbol.

If a player does not have such a card in their hand, they draw a card from the deck. If the new card also does not match the last played card by color, number, or symbol, then the turn passes to another player.

The deck contains special cards that force a player to draw 2 or 4 cards from the deck, skip a turn, and so on.

When a player has only one card left in their hand, they must say "UNO". Otherwise, if other players notice, they draw two additional cards from the deck.
