Catan: Seafarers (expansion) is an expansion to the classic board game, Catan.
New components introduced in it include: sea hexes, ships, new islands.

Throughout the game, players must build settlements, cities, roads, and ships, and discover new islands. To do this, they must collect resources.

Players score points in the classic way – by building settlements, cities, roads, ships, and through development cards.
 
The winner is the first player to achieve a specified number of points (12-15).
